Our Story

The Lona Group started its operations focused primarily on citrus farming and on export markets. Over the past 27 years it has managed to diversify significantly through its unique transformative business model, which combines the full agri-value chain, now also including branded packaged foods as well as state of the art logistics and cold storage operations. We are proud of the impact our growth is having on a socio-economic level in support of developing local farming communities and support of emerging practices.

Our ambition is to become the leading vertically integrated agri processing and fresh produce storage business in Southern Africa. Via our very focussed and clear complimentary strategies within each of our core subsidiaries, we are well on track to achieving this.
